A Gatsby Wedding
Feathers, pearls, sequins. Are you drooling? Does that sound so dreamy? Well, if you love all those things as much as I do you absolutely need to check out Michael and Trystan's Gatsby themed wedding. Michael and I became friends while I was second shooting his best friend's wedding last year. His toast to her was hilarious and tear jerking, and oozed with years and years of best friend love! We had so many wonderful laughs at that wedding and became great friends. When Michael told me he was engaged to his perfect match Trystan, I was so incredibly jazzed! Seriously, you don't understand, I didn't have anyone to high five so I ran through the house high fiving appliances. Haha! That is true. (The fridge was obviously the best high five partner). The more I am lucky enough to witness Trystan and Michael together, the more I feel they complete each other's personalities and qualities perfectly. Also, Trystan attended college where I did, and I enjoy that fact probably more than the average person. Southern Utah University!! Whoop whoop!
You need to check their details! The suits, dresses, furs, pearls, sequins, feathers.. it was all so beautiful! Michael and Trystan planned and decorated almost everything themselves, too! Michael is incredibly creative and the talent was obvious the entire day! One example? If I said, "Let's do your group photos in a tunnel under the road", what would you say? Would you able to envision your wedding party photos there? Well, Michael and Trystan could, and I must admit, I think they are my favorite group and wedding party photos ever! I think a few in the group may have been a little hesitant at first about doing the group photos in a tunnel, but no one ever complained or questioned. They were so trusting and easy to work with. I adore all of the family and friends that were part of this wedding! Not only were my grooms a dream, but you can tell how loving and wonderful they are by all of the great people they surrounded themselves with.
Congratulations Michael and Trystan! Here's to your happily ever after!
