What exactly is a Micro Wedding?

A micro wedding is an intentionally smaller wedding day — usually 10–50 guests — that keeps the parts you care about and skips the rest.

It’s not about doing less. It’s about focusing on what matters most with more breathing room, connection, and a day that feels personal and experience-driven.

Quick Comparison

Micro Wedding

An intimate celebration with your favorite people plus time built in for meaningful portraits and adventure.

Elopement

A more private, experience-driven day focused primarily on the couple, often with little or no guest list.

Traditional Wedding

A larger celebration with a full guest list and a structured timeline.

The Best of Both Worlds

Micro weddings combine the intentional feel of an elopement with the celebration of a wedding day.

With fewer guests and more breathing room, you can choose a stunning setting, focus on what matters most, and truly enjoy every moment.

You don’t have to choose between a meaningful celebration and an unforgettable adventure. You can have both.

A Micro Wedding Timeline that feels like the Best Day Ever

One of the Best parts of a micro wedding is having space for both the celebration and the just-us adventure time. Here's an example flow:

What a Micro Wedding Can Look LIke

Picture this.

Your closest people rent a cozy cabin or lodge for the weekend. You share a heartfelt ceremony in a wooded amphitheater, then sneak away for a little mountain adventure.

Maybe that means a ski lift ride to an overlook, champagne in hand, and golden light pouring in.

Later, you return for a candlelit dinner under twinkle lights, soft music in the background, and the kind of laughter you’ll still be talking about years from now.

Or maybe your ceremony happens in Arches National Park. Your guests spend the afternoon exploring Moab while you and your partner head off for the just-us portion of the day. You’ll hit a few stunning stops, soak in the views, and end at sunset at Dead Horse Point for a private vow exchange & cake cutting.
